Within the activities of scientific and cultural activity for the first semester of the Department of Electrical Engineering for the academic year ‎2017-2018, each of the following: Assist. Prof. Dr. Muntadar Sami Shaker, Dr. Falah Khairallah Abboud and Dr. Raed Thaaban Hamad A lecture entitled "British Standards in the Academic Writing of Doctoral Dissertations" on Tuesday, February 13, 2017 at Dejla Hall in the presence of the Head of Electrical Engineering Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Dari Yousif Mahmoud and Scientific and Administrative Deputies and Heads of scientific branches and a number of teaching staff of the department.

The seminar dealt with how to write master's and doctorate dissertations according to the British standards. It has been explained how to prepare a plan for writing letters and texts, structure and contents of each of its basic paragraphs. EndNote software is used globally to facilitate the writing of references in research and scientific messages. This program is a tool for extracting resources and listing them according to internationally known cataloging systems.
